Presented by Pamela Price

This webinar is about how and why alcohol is a barrier to Ahimsa to create a healthy wellness conversation to the promotion of wellness events paired with beer, wine, or cocktails.

What is Ahimsa? I am so glad you asked if you don't know!

Ahimsa is a Sanskrit term that means "non-violence" or "non-harming." It is a key concept in several Indian religions, most notably Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, but its principles have also influenced many other philosophical and ethical traditions around the world.

Ahimsa advocates for the avoidance of causing harm or injury to any living being, whether through physical violence, mental harm, or even harmful speech. It is a fundamental principle of ethical behavior and moral conduct, promoting compassion, empathy, and respect for all forms of life. Ahimsa encourages individuals to cultivate a sense of non-aggression, love, and understanding towards others.

Ahimsa is one of the Yamas in classical yoga philosophy. The Yamas and Niyamas are ethical and moral guidelines or principles that provide a framework for ethical living and personal development in yoga and Hindu philosophy.
